I've been getting a series of emails from a respectable source regarding some cancer "cures" which can be made at home. I'm really scratching my head about all this. I've seen family and friends suffer and die because of cancer and have a hard time believing that all oncologists are running around with their heads up their butts. Also I have friends in the alternative health community who would love to send someone home with a simple recipe to end all disease. These are committed people who could easily turn their career focus into maximizing health rather than battling a frustrating and financially devastating disease.

So is there a simple home made recipe for curing cancer and many other common illnesses? I have not personally seen one at work. But I've seen chemotherapy at work and would probably take a pass on that and try an alternative if I had to join the fight personally. And odds are that I will have to fight cancer at some point in my life.

The reason I'm writing this blog article is because of that respected friend I mentioned. This is a guy who questions everything. He is an ardent researcher and sceptic. He prides himself on having a level head and a sound mind. And yet, this morning he sent me to this site on how to cure cancer and a bunch of other diseases using a 1 minute 1 cent a day common household remedy. I don't know what to think.

Click Here! to see the website that is promoting this book.

Is this true? I don't know. If it isn't then I'll have to re evaluate my respect for my friend.

There are two other big factors in why I'm writing this post. One is about the evil manipulation and influence of every official health agency and governing body. This is a popular theme in alternative health circles. Someone once said that the American Dollar has " In God We Trust" written on it. But you have to realize that that slogan is written on the most precious thing Americans have. Money does strange things to good people.

Your average health care worker is caring and quite underpaid for what they have to put up with. The worst thing they may be accused of is to have given up independent critical thought and action. But there are those people who's involvement in health care is and has always been as a vehicle to wealth, prestige, and power. And I've seen this in both the allopathic and alternative health fields.

I cannot deny the mounting evidence of suppression, clever bureaucratic manipulation, and legal persecution which seems to be growing stronger. Again, I put it down to money. But this time it may be because of idle money.

The recession has hit the world hard. Well not really. Ever wonder where the money went? The big corporations are sitting on it. ( just do a close check of the financial statements) It makes sense. There are no customers out there, so businesses are not going to produce products that nobody can buy. So they are forced to sit on their cash and wait.

Meanwhile the companies are spending some money buying each other up. M&A is all the rage ( merger and acquisition ). Other money is being spent in positioning. This is why I give some credence to the reports I get concerning political corruption and suppression of cheap competitive health products. One of friend's hobbies is macro economics.

One of the most frightening aspects of all this is the public brain washing that is going on. We are heroes if we donate or run or march in order to give money for cancer research. But what actually is cancer research? How many of these simple natural, home made cancer therapies have actually been studied in an aggressive manner by the agencies we entrust with our money? I haven't heard of any. But I must hate my mother and little defenseless kids because I'm hesitant about buying more giant whizz bang lab equipment?
Something stinks here.

Maybe I will buy that book.

Time to clean up the back yard. Why not build a garden shed that fits in to your backyard instead of sticking out like a walmart prefab ugly sore thumb?

A garden shed building plan is quite easy. Don't be scared.
Here is a great resource for home garden shed plans that give you the best variety.
Outdoor shed plans are a real chore for some people. But that is just because they don't sit back and think about it.
My father in law was a master mechanic, but stood there scratching his head when it came to what to do with the garden shed. We tipped the old one over and found a colony of termites running over our boots. ( now, to be fair, he didn't build the old one).

A good garden shed should fit in with the decor of the yard, and also be built to withstand the environmental aspects that the yard has.
Shed Plans has a lot of these things built in. But hey, don't be an idiot. Read the plans, take stock of your resources, decide if this is something you can do, and consult with your municipality. Our municipality has restrictions regarding the size of the building and the distance it can be away from the house. I believe there is also a restriction on the services that can be built into the shed.
It turns out that some people were building guest houses and even rental properties in their back yards and calling them garden sheds.

Every geographical place has its own challenges. I mentioned the termite issues that surprised my father in law. There are also things like snow loads for roofs and drainage issues in areas susceptible to heavy rain or flash flooding. But rather than detering you from building your own shed, these factors are a good reason to steer clear of the prefab units you see sprouting up like refugee camps in the hardware store parking lots every spring.

I hope this great resource can help. But, you know your backyard best.
But please, be smart. wear protective gear, check with local authorities,
Here is the best healthy breakfast for you. Here is a super healthy, tasty, quick and easy breakfast idea. In less than 5 minutes you can prepare and eat this proven disease fighting recipe. Just think, you can get the energy you need for the next few hours, not feel bloated and nauseous, and be prepared to fight off lurking cancer and a disease filled workplace.

Just 4 simple ingredients, thrown in a blender can do all this.

People who hate breakfast are actually nauseous at the thought of eating early in the morning. So they need something that will be easy to swallow and yet highly nutritious. Other people are so rushed and in a high adrenaline state that their digestive system has shut down. They need something that is filling and soothing to resupply their over energized body when it finally calms down.

Both kinds of breakfast haters can have a healthy satisfying start to the day by slightly changing the ratio of the 4 vital ingredients I'm going to tell you about.

The first vital ingredient is protein. But not just any protein. Undenatured whey protein is a very light bodied, highly bioactive nutrient. Simply put, it gets into the body and supplies vital nutrients quickly. It doesn't hang around in the intestines like casein or other vegetable or animal proteins. It also has the added benefit of boosting the immune system in a positive way, unlike other proteins which seem to stimulate allergies. There have been some amazing medical studies done with undenatured protein, showing its effectiveness in fighting cancer as well as increasing a sense of wellness. So if you are going to choose to use a protein, why not go with the best?

My favorite undenatured whey protein is one sold by ProHealth. I trust the company for the quality, and the price is better than other products sold through health food stores or multi level sales companies.
Just click on the picture below to get some more information on the undenatured whey protein I use:

The second vital ingredient is frozen blueberries. You have probably heard about the health benefits of blueberries. Aside from the powerful antioxidant properties, they also are flavorful, and low in the glycemic index ( won't give you a sugar crash). Just a small handful ( 1/4 cup) will give you great flavor and sustained energy. I have found that the wild organic blueberries have the most flavor, but also freeze several bags of commercial ones when blueberry season hits.

Cilantro is the third vital ingredient. Cilantro? Yes. This herb is often used in Mexican, Spanish and Asian cooking. It can be found fresh is most grocery stores. What you might not know, is that cilantro has a history as a great detoxifier. It is know to help the body get rid of heavy metals which can damage nerves and kidneys. It also has a great supply of phytonutrients and a refreshing taste. A small, loosely packed handful of leaves and stems brighten up the morning.

Note: When you buy fresh cilantro, make sure to clean it properly. Soak the bunch in a large container of water to let any sand settle to the bottom. Then rinse and spin or towel dry. Place the bunch in a clean plastic bag with a couple sheets of paper towel. This will keep the bunch fresh and ready for quick use.
Also, there are some people who cannot tolerate the taste of cilantro. Don't force yourself to eat it if you are one of these people. Your body is telling you that it is not right for you. Also you may want to see a good naturopathic physician to see if you are suffering from heavy metal toxicity. It could be that the cilantro is pulling too many toxins out, too quickly. (medical disclaimer: I'm not a doc and this is not medical advice, just observations from my own life)

The last vital ingredient is the one that customizes this healthy instant breakfast. Fresh ground flax seed has amazing health properties. Many people know about the Omega 36 &9 oil in flax seed, but there are also the lignans. Lignans are anti-viral, anti-fungal, anti bacterial, and anti-cancer substances. Also you have toxin fighting soluable fiber which will carry away the heavy metals the cilantro has released through the bile.

WOW! WHAT A GREAT HEALTH COMBINATION EH?

You can take these things and toss then in a blender, add the equivalent amount of ice water ( or more if you want a thinner mix), and have an amazingly health breakfast in just a few minutes. Dump it into a drink container and you can sip on it while heading to work, or whatever it is that begins your day. I have mine at my computer while checking emails.

Here are a few more special instructions on making this great healthy breakfast:

You have to grind the flax seed ( or buy pre ground) If you are nausous in the morning and hate breakfast, then just use a little bit ( 1 tsp). The flax seed is a thickener. See how much your stomach likes and let that be your guide. If you are a mad rush adrenaline junkie in the morning then you might want to add more. It will soothe your system by stimulating certain nerve ending in your stomach. And it will help calm down the acids you are probably pumping out and swilling down in your coffee.

Add the protein after combining the first three ingredients. Undenatured whey is fairly delicate ( which is why I recommend Prohealth's manufacturing supervision). It doesn't like too much heat or processing. So just blend it in at the end.

If you find your shake too warm, consider adding some more ice to the water when you are blending the first three ingredients.

(medical disclaimer: I'm not a doctor. This has evolved from my own research and experience. This is not intended as medical advice. Use your own common sense. Check with your own health professional if you have any questions or concerns regarding your own nutritional and health plan. OK, I hope that is enough legalese. )Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16857814391890957837noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-25721437.post-60990024644563264702010-03-15T11:40:00.000-07:002010-03-15T11:40:05.088-07:00Moss Control and Cleanup for LawnsSpring Yard cleanup is just about here. One of the more frustrating problems of living in the pacific northwest is moss invasion.

The way to prevent moss from building up too much in the grass is to keep it well drained and aerated. There are inexpensive aerating tools which are just a tube of metal that pulls plugs out of the grass as you stomp on it. This is what I use. It has the advantage of letting me wiggle it a bit in areas that need a bit more loosening up. But if you have a large yard, you will soon get worn out.

For a large yard, the better bet is to go to the rental store and get a gas driven aerator which is about the size of a lawn mower. If you coordinate this with a few neighbors, you can split the cost. It is a fast effective way to aerate and you can get the whole neighborhood done in an afternoon.

After aerating, apply a topping of sand and try to get as much as possible in those holes.

If your yard is heavily infested with moss and other weeds, then a good power raking is called for. And yes I know this is controversial, but ask any reputable professional gardner and they will tell you that a good power raking is the best solution for a host of lawn problems. Yes it looks ugly and the neighborhood will think you have gone mad, but this will give new grass seed a great chance to establish and crowd out future invasions.

Apply a good moss killer and also sweeten up your soil. I like to use dolopril as a ph sweetener because it is easy to handle and apply. I also like to use a liquid moss killer for the first application. There are combination fertilizers and moss killers on the market. I use these after I have hit the moss hard with a pure killer.

Now it is time to top seed. If you have a moss problem, then chances are that you are in a shady area. Make sure to buy grass seed appropriate for your specific area. I actually like to apply different seed mixes for different micro climates in the yard. Yes there will be a slight variation in green color, but at least I will have grass! Check you seed blend. Buy grass seed that has a higher percentage of perennial and creeping varieties. You won't get the instant satisfaction of the quick sprouting annual seeds, but you will get better resistance to moss and weed invasion during the wet shoulder months.

Apply fertilizer appropriate to the stage of the grass growth. You want to get strong roots and thick foliage. I've found that varying the fertilizer works better than just laying down one type for the season. Even if I use a slow release product on an established lawn, I will still top it up with the occasional boost of liquid fertilizer in areas that show need. For example, my trees such a lot of nutrient away from the grass.

So to sum up: Aerate, sand, kill, rake, sweeten, fertilize, seed, and pay attention to micro areas.

The first four points are vital, and unfortunately for us in a rain forest climate, a yearly chore.

Good luck with you lawn this year.Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16857814391890957837noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-25721437.post-52813376682578801192009-12-10T16:14:00.000-08:002010-01-23T17:12:54.619-08:00How to Lose Weight FastHere are two proven ways to lose weight fast. One is the result of a scientific experiment done in the 50's and the other is used by body builders and fitness models.

Of course, let me say that I'm not a doctor etc etc. I'm just telling you what has been done and what I've tried and will be doing. Your health is your business and you should contact a professional before trying anything.

OK here is the first method for fast weight loss. Researchers Kekwick and Pawan found that a diet of mostly fat around 1000 calories a day put people in a state of rapid fat burning ketosis. I've tried this using two tablespoons of cream cheese, egg salad, coconut oil, or bacon as meals. Yes it works but I only used it to start my body on fat loss. It wasn't fun but it worked. I eventually moved on to a better diet which was still calorie reduced but higher in protein and greens.

Speaking of protein and greens, that is the second method of losing weight fast. Here is an industry secret. Most of the fitness models you see in the commercials have done a fat stripping diet before the shoots. Also the body building competitors go through a very strict fat loss program before each competition.

The body builder fat loss program is mostly lean protein and high fiber green veggies. ( steamed chicken breasts and broccoli) Again this gets pretty boring pretty fast, but it does strip off the fat.

The success of these two methods tends to depend on your basic body type, which I've written about in other posts. But neither one is made for long term use. Eventually everyone needs a diet that is made up of a unique balance of protein, essential fats, and complex carbohydrates of some sort.

The fat stripping fast weight loss is only to be used to either jump start fat loss, or to strip off fat for a special occasion.

So how do we take the fat off and keep it off and still have fun?

I've struggled with this for years and am still exploring options. I'm a foodie and love cooking and developing recipes. There is one program out there that I'm currently investigating and will report on in the future. Until then, I'm afraid it is back to a strict fat fasting diet for a few weeks to get the body used to using all that stored up blubber.

Stay tuned.....

Update:
After exploring many of the new diet plans out there, I am impressed with only one. That is the " Every Other Day Diet". And here is why. It is the only one I have found which uses well founded and seemingly ignored science. Also it is put together is a way that makes it easy and painless for the user, but still powerful and sophisticated. Also there is free live help to get us through the first transition phase.

I'm so impressed with this weight loss plan that I have started a website devoted to exploring each of the scientific aspects. It is called www.eodd.info . But if you visit this website, please remember that the sum is greater than the parts. The genius of this diet plan is in how it is put together. Here is a link where you can watch an official video, which explains the EOD Diet.

I'll post more articles about this in the EODD.info website in the upcoming days.Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16857814391890957837noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-25721437.post-14164242178890259332009-10-28T08:28:00.000-07:002009-10-28T09:13:00.366-07:00SAD help using accupressureSeasonal Affective Disorder season is here again. Here is some effective help.

Fall is a great season, but it brings many health challenges. Flu, SAD, Tight Muscles, and aggravation of many existing health problems as the body copes with changing light, temperature, and barometric patterns. Here is a fast helpful technique.

Gary Craig has dedicated his life to helping get the word out about this acupressure technique called EFT ( click here to see it). The main problem with it is that it is so quick and effective that many people can't believe that it actually works. Weird eh? Here is something that is easy and fast, but perhaps too fast.

This technique is easy to learn. It is effective the first time you try it. And it can be refined to enhance your life on many levels.

One other problem with EFT is the name. Perhaps this is why there has been a movement to change the name to MTT. "Emotional Freedom Technique" seems to intimate that there is something psychologically wrong with us. And that the reason for our pain and illnesses is the result of some neurosis. So naturally people avoid even experimenting with it. Because if it works, then they feel that they have been labeled as weak willed neurotics!

This is NOT what EFT is about!

I feel that much of the excellent training has failed in this one point of distinction. If you read the excellent free training manual which is available at Gary's Website , you will see that emotional responses are just somatic keyholes, used to uncover imbalances in the body's meridian system. Our society teaches us to bury traumas which cause disturbances in the flow of energy. EFT merely works on uncovering these imbalances and resetting the body's natural harmonious state. It actually takes more courage to allow ourselves to feel distress than it does to suppress it. Not that there is any great traumatic gestalt activity involved in EFT. All this acupressure technique needs is an awareness of discomfort. Then the acupressure can reset that area of the body and move on to the next.

S.A.D. ( seasonal affective disorder) is a complex issue. Sure there is a connection with light deprivation and melatonin/ serotonin levels. But also there is the inability of the body to handle these changes in a peaceful way. Also, the hormonal disruption unleashes many suppressed issues which we can usually keep under control. Add an onslaught of viral & fungal activity and it is no wonder so many are barely making it through the day!

EFT sorts and handles all of these problems in less time than it takes a pain killer to start working.

This is what amazes me. I can do a simple 3 minute acupressure technique, or I can pop a pill and wait an agonizing 20 minutes for relief. And for some reason I often go pop that pill!!!

I've just learned ( once again) the power of habit. And so I'm starting a 30 day program of using EFT. I'm going to just commit to using it on whatever comes up each day ( sore muscles, stuffy nose, frustration, appetite control, tired eyes, etc etc). Remember, it works on anything, not just deep set problems. As Gary says, " try it on everything". My goal is to make this a habit. After all EFT is safe, and doesn't cost anything to use.

How about you? Click here for more information and training on EFT acupressure training.

Why go through another season of imprisonment?Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16857814391890957837noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-25721437.post-60712551685043404712009-09-07T11:18:00.000-07:002009-09-07T11:33:29.083-07:00This simple accupressure technique can heal many chronic health problemsThere is an accupressure conference going on right now. Yes I know, how cliche, but I have to say I'm impressed on the power of the presentation. She is not holding back on tackling every aspect of weight loss failure.

Yes that is right. You have to understand the obstacles and analyse the failures with this technique. There is no sugar coating here ( pun intended). BUT the great thing is that when you use the accupressure technique along with a clear understanding of the eating issues, there is no struggle, no fighting with will power. This technique simply resets the body's response to food.

Amazing. I'm going to listen to as many presentations as I can and will probably end up buying a set of CD's to help me and my friends in the future.

I missed a couple presentations this weekend and am curious about what they could do for me, if this weight loss technique is so powerful.

Here is the link to the accupressure presentations. He paid one small fee and is getting over 3000 channels ( OK so he is not watching a lot of the foreign language channels.....but he gets them!)

I think that this is one of those "too good to be true, but it is true" scenarios. Older people who have been conditioned by the networks and cable companies, just can't believe that you can have all these TV channels ( and radio and music video) available for such a low one time price.

Well, all I can say is "Don't tell the government" because once they realize that all this is available, I'm sure they will be coming in for their usual hefty share of the pie. But right now, the Price, Quality, and Variety is great.

( and my friend can sneak in a few shows while " browsing" on the internet)
Again...here is the link to this great internet cable TV deal.Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16857814391890957837noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-25721437.post-89105704909929818892009-03-25T12:05:00.000-07:002009-03-25T12:21:22.817-07:00Think Safe & Green & CHEAPThis has been my favorite product for years! But two big things have happened to make it even more of a favorite. The recent news about BPA contamination in all the water bottles and now SODA CANS, and the gas prices.

OK I can see you scratching your head. But really, isn't most of the soda or "pop" that you are drinking water? Why pay for trucks to drag water all over the place and then poison you by putting it in BPA contaminated containers? OH....and charge you ten times the price for doing it?

Why not get the ability to create a refreshing drink , made EXACTLY the way YOU like it, and pay a fraction of the cost? OH...and put it in a container that won't kill you?

hmmm... did I hear " slam dunk"?

The soda club gives you the ability to custom make soda the way you like it.
I like things a little less sweet, but my asian friends LOVE THE SUGAR. Fine. We can have the same flavor made the way we like it.

I also love the little penguin shaped seltzer bottles. To be honest, this is my favorite way to have a drink. A nice bubbly seltzer with a twist of lemon.

But I can also do the drink with just a hint of low carb flavoring.

I hope you can see just how great it is to have the power in your own hands for once. And how to be green as well.

Check this out. It is on my TOP 10 list.
( And remember...get it now...summer is on the way...)

ColinAnonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16857814391890957837noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-25721437.post-77190835526743321942009-03-16T18:04:00.000-07:002009-03-16T18:38:51.456-07:00Get the Lowest Price by using this Free Software called My Shopping GenieI just got this great shopping deal hunter software called My Shopping Genie. I like a few things about it and also thought I'd clear up the confusion about some of the concerns I had.

First of all the shopping genie is free. I LIKE free! And I LOVED the fact that it instantly dug out the best deals. Not only the best prices on stuff I'm always buying, but from respected names. And I don't need any coupon printouts or special codes. ( Yes I'm the guy you hate at the cash register fumbling with a handful of coupons)

Coupons and discount codes were great way to shop until this baby came along. Now I don't need to be clipping my way through the weekend paper or getting burned by using some stale code I got on the internet.

Now I just type in what I want and this new Shopping Genie gets me the cheapest price. And like I said, the best part is that it is free.

But I take a close look at any free software to make sure that it doesn't have anything that will harm my computer. This passed the test. The shopping genie is very clean. It is also recommended by Stephen Pierce, who is not only respected throughout the internet, but also works with major corporations. So I feel better when he has put his reputation on the line.

It works by having the shopping companies compete for the lowest price. Sometimes Walmart wins and sometimes Amazon does ( or some other company). Actually this was an eye opener for me. Walmart has branded themselves as the company with the best prices, but now I'm realizing that there are other companies out there who are ready to compete for my business. This new "my shopping genie" makes that happen.

Try it out for yourself. Like I said, I investigated it and it came out clean as far as safety and is a great way to save those hundreds of dollars that are slipping away from you as you do your regular shopping. ( I saved over $170 last month using coupons...I could have done better with this genie thingee).

Here is the link to the Shopping Genie

Have fun with it. And try testing it out by doing a comparison test. Do a product search with the genie and then with your regular search engine. I've been surprised a few times.

ColinAnonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16857814391890957837noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-25721437.post-30514114830752257102008-12-29T09:04:00.000-08:002008-12-29T09:19:06.794-08:00The Best New Year's Resolution SystemNew Year's Resolutions can be easily achieved IF you follow this free proven system.
I have used Mark's system to make changes in every area of my life. My wife just sent me an email from Worksafe with another list of foods recalled because of melamine contamination. Luckily we didn't have any of the products in the house, but we had eaten a lot of them on a recent holiday!

This corruption of the food supply is one more reason why we are striving to buy organic and local foods. A few years ago buying organic was difficult and expensive. But now with Walmart and Whole Foods involved, the scale of production has brought prices down and availability up.

Now, to be honest, I'm not totally convinced on the health benefits of organic foods. Those who promote organics have an arsenal of evidence on their superiority. Organics are also supposed to be better for the environment etc etc. My first criteria is taste. I want the best tasting food. Then comes cost. Then comes nutritional content.

But now after a series of health alerts, I am adding accountability to my criteria list. I want to know who and how my food is produced, and I want assurances. This does not mean huge Gov't involvement. To be honest, I think some of the problems are because gov't has regulated the local farmer out of business. Independant organizations are doing a great job. Still when I see the USDA Organic logo, or the Oregon Tilth Organic label, I tend to feel better about the ingredients.

Hopefully, something labeled Organic or even better, Bio Organic, has been produced by people dedicated to purity and health. Perhaps this is naive, but I think it is better than some of the other standards.

Meanwhile, I buy my eggs from a local farmer. I know they are free range, because I have to dodge the chickens when I visit. My fruit and veggies are bought at local farms or at a farmer's market. Some of what I buy is grown in hot houses. They have no need for pesticides. And then the remainder of my food is bought at the supermarket, where I cruise the organic aisle first and compare prices and ingredients. This does take a bit more time and energy, but I treat it at a hobby. Getting great tasting food at the best price possible sure beats building ships in a bottle!Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16857814391890957837noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-25721437.post-24343259668683684882008-09-25T10:35:00.000-07:002009-01-14T09:10:42.112-08:00Afraid of Vista? Then Wait and Use These TipsVista is about to become history. This is good news for a lot of us who have been hearing all the horror stories from friends and experts. Microsoft is coming out with a new operating system in about a year. It is currently called Windows 7. Before that it was called Blackcomb ( a ski mountain nearby). Windows 7 is not an upgrade of Vista. It is a revolution in PC experience. This is important for you to understand because if you go buy a new computer and think that all you will have to do is pop in a new operating system, you will be looking at it with disgust in a couple of years.

Windows 7 is going to have all sorts of interactive features. It will allow you to move things around with a touch of your screen..not the keyboard! I could go on and on, but I hope you get the picture ( pun).

The problem is what to do now!

Are you running Windows XP and are quite happy with it? Well, MS has announced that they will soon be ending support for XP. Is your current computer getting moody? Are you at that stage where you are crossing your fingers every time you open an application? Is it taking a few minutes to load up and get going? Are you getting those awful stalls and hear your hard drive chugging to keep up? Wow, I could go on forever!

Well, I've got news for you. Your computer is not wearing out. In fact, there are very few parts to a computer that ever do wear out. Your main problem is that Windows loves to squirrel massive amount of data away, and then forgets where everything is.

I'm what they call a Power User. When I do research I have a multitude of programs and windows open. I'm searching audio and video files. I'm building and editing multi page websites. And I am conscientious about keeping my computer clean and lean.

But even I was getting frustrated by all those things I mention before. My poor computer was looking exhausted. And I started thinking about building a new one. But the effort and expense held me back. I'm glad that it did, because a friend recommended a book to me.

This book transformed my computer. It is almost back to its feisty self. I say "almost" because I keep throwing some heavy duty programs at it and it's P4 processor struggles to keep up ( video production, spreadsheets, HTML editing, email program, multiple tabs etc, all running at the same time)

I'm recommending this book to you because it is going to help my computer last until 2010 and still allow me to do what I want to do. I'm sure it will do the same for you.

Here is a link to Kris's Ebook. The instructions are very easy to follow, and he follows the book up with weekly resource and tune up tips.<a href="http://colinjn.kmainieri.hop.clickbank.net/" target=new"_top">Click Here!

So hang in there and keep what you have running smooth. Then when Windows 7 comes you can upgrade and get the full experience of this groundbreaking system.

ColinAnonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16857814391890957837noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-25721437.post-43404234534331951912008-09-15T13:55:00.000-07:002008-09-15T15:21:52.994-07:00Auto Insurance: Avoiding Last Year's MistakesOur Auto Insurance renewal notice is sitting in my inbox. Â This year I'm going to do a few things differently to avoid another year of nervous driving. Â We had a conversation the other day and came up with the following points that we are going to ask our insurer:

What discounts do we get for having a safe driving record, and what happens to that discount if we get into an accident?

What if we are driving out of Province ( State) or Country and get into an accident? Â Who do we contact and what resources are there to get the car fixed?

Our car is getting older. Â If it is totalled, how much do we get for it. Â Can we get replacement insurance and buy a new car? Â I don't want a car payment.

How fast is the claim process? Â We are in a remote area and need a vehicle.

Does the car insurance cover a rental car while we get our car fixed?

Are there specific drivers assigned to the auto insurance policy? Â Who is not covered by the car insurance? Â

I'm adding to the list as I think of things, but these seem to cover the important points so far. Â Last year we didn't go through this process. Â When our auto insurance came up for renewal we were very busy. Â We ended up going to see a local insurance broker near the last day. Â Buying car insurance was just one more thing on a long list of things to do that weekend.

The insurance broker said he had a new insurance company that would save us a few hundred dollars. Â A few hundred buck insurance discount sounded great considering all the shopping we were heading out to do. Â So we signed up and took off.

But once we got all the chores done and life leveled out I began to read the fine print of the policy. Â The worst part was there was very little documentation. Â We just had a phone number to call if we had an accident. Â Not very reassuring!

So this year we took a good look at how we use our car and decided to buy an auto insurance policy according to that criteria. Â What good is a great insurance discount if the insurance is no good? Â

Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16857814391890957837noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-25721437.post-72535708224441617782008-07-24T08:19:00.000-07:002008-07-24T09:09:31.668-07:00Travel Insurance: Avoid These Mistakes!I just spent $200 too much on insurance because I made a few simple mistakes. And I'll bet you have made them too. But we also saved almost the same amount by being smart about a few things, so I'm not feeling too bad......well OK, I'm still feeling angry about being duped by the insurance advisers.

We went on a trip to Arizona ( loved it). But it was our first time there and we had to rely on some advice from various service reps.

Here are the things we did right, to get the best deals in insurance:

We bought a great travel health insurance package through our bank. We made sure it was designed for our nationality ( Canadian) and would give us the best services as well as an emergency flight home, if needed. And we compared policies with other service clubs and credit cards. It turned out our bank had the best deal and guaranteed services.

We booked through Expedia and declined the trip cancellation and baggage loss insurance. After all, the vacation package was such a good deal we would not be sacrificing too much if disaster hit and we couldn't go. Also, we came to shop, so the bags would be pretty empty going down!

NOW here is how we got conned into paying too much insurance! THE CAR

Car rental insurance is a tricky thing. Yes yes, we all know that this is how the companies make their profit ( or so the urban folklore says). And yes we were all ready to decline everything thrown at us. But we made one single costly mistake. We didn't do our research specifically for car rental insurance in Arizona. This left us vulnerable to the service advisor.

We managed to decline everything at the front counter, but the company was not going to give up that easy. As we were being led to our car, another advisor worked on us, telling us horror stories of maniac Arizona drivers. Who knew?

Then she started on about some obscure laws in Arizona and how that the insurance on our credit card was invalid. And since we had not phoned our credit card company to ask specifically about renting cars in Arizona, we were hooked.....and signing form after costly form.

We spent a day cautiously driving around, keeping a wary eye out for these maniac Arizonians. All the time, having that sour feeling you get when you know you've been conned. Sure enough, when we got home we found out that we had double paid on the car rental insurance and, to be honest, the worst drivers we saw in Arizona were fellow tourists.....probably also looking for maniacs on the road!

Bottom line then.

Do your research before you even begin to book anything.

Call all your financial service companies and find out what they offer.

Check you credit card companies ( we had free insurance on one card, but not another)

Ask the insurance reps SPECIFIC questions. Ask about the specific area you intend to stay in.

Ask your travel insurance advisor about your travel health insurance using the most nightmarish scenario you can think of. The fine print on the contracts was obviously written by some lawyer gnome who has never left his cave. I have never been able to figure it out.

DON'T ASSUME ANYTHING

If you start feeling pressured to take action while doing your research, it could be because that person is on commission. Fair enough, they have to make a living. Just tell them that you are in the research phase and ask how to get back to them specifically, or how they can get credit for the sale if you choose their product.

Do not make my mistakes. I learned the hard way. Next trip will involve a few more phone calls, but it will save me a few hundred dollars.

.........well, OK, it will probably allow more money to go into the Arizona retail economy. Forget maniac drivers....there are some maniac shoppers looking south!

Good Luck in your travels,
ColinAnonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16857814391890957837noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-25721437.post-45384047808268317742008-07-08T07:51:00.000-07:002009-08-18T17:35:14.094-07:00How to Make Wine at HomeHomemade wine can be an easy fun hobby if you follow these simple rules.

Work in a clean sanitized setting

Give yourself enough time

Only take on wine making projects you are experienced enough for

Start with a simple kit and read the instructions several times over before starting

Follow the instructions exactly for the first few times

And don't skip the stirring parts!

Making wine at home is actually quite easy. But for years I was intimidated by the thought of it. And to tell you the truth, for years I couldn't stand the smell or taste of wine...... mostly because of a few of my father's experiments gone wrong. Yes, wine can explode! And yes it can look like a huge vat of rotten gunk! But only if you are trying to make wine without reading and following good instructions.

The instructions included in wine kits are a good basic start, but they can be confusing at times. I just made some wine from Italy and the instructions seemed to have been written by someone with a poor grasp of English. I had to guess my way through a few steps.

Luckily I just received a Godsend of a book which helped me. Click Here for information about this great wine making book! I wish my dad had this book in his early wine making years. It would have saved the whole family from misery.

In the early years, my dad didn't have anyone to educate him. His European friends only told him to mix fruit, water and yeast and wait. My bedroom always seemed to be next to his workshop, so I got to see and smell and hear all the stages of my dad's self education process. Talk about aversion therapy!

The good news is that Dad is now making wine which rivals most commercial products. His only problem now is that he has to hide it, to allow it to age. The rest of the family is aware of Dad's wine making talents and bottles seem to disappear.

But, Dad's new wine making skills didn't come easy. He had to hang around the local wine supply shop and pick up tips, and experiment, experiment, experiment. For a while he acted like some mad scientist!

When I would come home for a visit, I would find the basement filled with all sorts of gizmos, and tubes, and jars filled with who knows what. Dad would disappear for hours muttering something about checking gravity and mixing mud! So even though I had now learned to appreciate wine, I was still intimidated about making home made wine. It was easier to just pilfer my dad's supply.

FINALLY, last year I took the plunge and decided to try to make homemade wine. The local store had a sale on a kit of all the basic wine making supplies. It cost less than a bottle a mediocre wine ( smart marketing ). I read through the instructions and got a grape juice concentrate recommended by a guy who was hanging around in the aisle trying to avoid his wife.

To be honest, the first batch turned out OK. Just OK. And I paid for it with lots of time and anxiety. Little did I realize I was repeating my Dad's early mistakes. Dad didn't have adequate training. And neither did I. The only thing that saved me was that I was making wine from a kit, rather than gathering up some windfall fruit!

Since that first batch of wine, I've researched and experimented and can now make something I really like. But I could have saved myself a lot of anxiety, not to mention some nose holding wine drinking, by having Scott Young's handy new book. Scott runs All Wine Making website, which offers a free wine making course as well as other great resources ( check out his blog ).

I just got Scott's new book, "Delicious Wine Making Made Easy", and instantly wished all my wine making friends would buy it. It covers wine making from the very beginning stages, to fail safe advanced recipes. This means that you have one manual for a lifetime of wine making at home.

And here is the best part. "Delicious Wine Making Made Easy" is an easy read. Scott takes all the anxiety out of home wine making. He has a clear and fun style of writing. You are not going to get lost in a bunch of wine techno babble. All the answers you need are easy to find and illustrated with detailed pictures. No more frantic squinting at vague instruction sheets, or hunting through a bunch of poorly written websites.

I've printed out my copy of Scott's ebook and have it handy for when I need it. But if you don't have a laser printer you can order a useful spiral bound copy ( hint: Don't bother printing it out with an inkjet printer. The first drip of water or wine will smear everything up. ) You can get more info at Scott's website All Wine Making (just click on that link).

I should also point out a great added benefit to owning this book. I now have access to Scott and am able to suggest topics for his newsletter. This means that "Delicious Wine Making Made Easy" is like a key to all sorts of advanced knowledge which will be coming in the newsletters.

My dad needed a tutor when he started. He didn't have one, and we had to live with quite a few "science experiments". I'm lucky that I've found one in Scott.

Here is a video of Scott showing the basics on wine making at home and also how to make a fruit wine from a kit:

Well, good luck with your new hobby!
ColinAnonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16857814391890957837noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-25721437.post-31852343296108488002008-05-01T11:47:00.000-07:002008-08-18T13:48:24.747-07:00The Best Website Building Software WarningThe day is approaching. It takes everything you could possibly want to do and makes it easy.

If you are just getting started, it will enable you to get a beautiful website up in a matter of minutes. And then, as you get more experienced, and want to change and tweak things, it is as easy as hitting a button.

I hope you understood the power of what I just wrote. I have not found any other website building software that can protect your content and allow you to instantly change all the styles.

UPDATE: I've started a group from my websitebuildingforbeginners.com blog to show how easy it is to use Xcitepro. We are building a website at www.SavyShoppingUSA.com .
Take a look at it as it progresses, and scroll down to the bottom of the home page to join the Youtube videos of each class.

As I've said before, I'm not complaining that I spent the money to upgrade. XsitePro is fantastic software and I'll gladly pay for the upgrade. Paul has a reputation for building products which are easy to use. Once I got my hands on this new version, I was quite simply amazed.

XsitePro2 will be the industry standard in website building software. And you have the opportunity to get it at an amazingly low price.

Yeah yeah...starting to sound like an infomercial again eh? Well, it is the truth. You know me, I hunt and research and look for the best, or free, deals. This is one of those deals. If you have any desire to put up a website, then grab this now. Once the initial phase is over, I'm sure the price will skyrocket. It will be a simple matter of market demand, and Paul having to pay off his development and support costs.

NOW HERE IS THE WARNING ABOUT THE BEST WEBSITE BUILDING SOFTWARE I'VE FOUND! I JUST GOT AN EMAIL TELLING ME THAT VERSION 2 IS NOW AVAILABLE FOR GENERAL SALES.

This means that you only have a few days to get in at the old price by getting the $100 new launch discount. And yes I know this sounds like used car sales hooey! But it is the truth. As I've said, a lot of people are not happy about this.

I have just one thing against XsitePro's sales strategy. If you go to their website, you will see that it is marketed to " Internet Marketers". This makes it sound like only professionals who earn their income online should use this website design software.
Click Here to see a list of the features in XsitePro

In my opinion.......

XsitePro's Website Building software is perfect for anyone who wants to put any sort of website up on the Internet. The present version has a wide variety of easy to install templates and patterns. If you just want a single page up, or want to post pictures, or whatever, the option is there. If you have used any word processor ( eg. MS Word) you can make a beautiful website in minutes.

And here is the best part, this website building/design software automatically does all the hard technical stuff for you. Xsitepro2 organizes everything you put in so that everything is technically correct ( such as site maps, privacy policies, search engine robot forms). Hit one button and it runs a report and tells you of how you can improve what you have written. Hit another and bingo, it is on the Internet!

Now do you see why I'm excited about the great website building software? I've used all sorts of other ones ( remember I'm a bit slow but still curious). I gave up trying to use all of them, even Google's page maker ( and I'm a big Google fan).

With XcitePro 2, I can rattle off some thoughts while I have energy, hit a button, get everything checked, and then toss it on the Internet. You can see an example of this at one of my websites, www.myelectronicreview.com where I put some of my research and ramblings. Oh, and here is another one I'm just starting www.CanadianOnlineSources.com

Here is a nice video explaining just some of this great simple website design software:

Click here to watch the video.

OK, I think I've prattled on enough. There is just one question left to answer. If XsitePro was so great, why did I upgrade to the next version? Well, because the Internet is constantly changing. I want website software that is easy to use and will make posting whatever I want simple and easy. I want to be able to put a complicated website together, with blogs and forums and video and who knows what, by just hitting a button.

I want to have everything correct for the search engines ( the Marshals in the wired wired west!). I just want to wander in to the office and type, or talk, or crank on the cam, and not have to waste precious energy on all the technicalities. The new XsitePro2 has all the new technologies covered. And I'm confidant that Paul is on the cutting edge.

So hurry now, and get this great software. It is satisfaction guaranteed! So buy it and try it.

Here is a link for a great brochure.

Colin

PS If you are wondering about a reliable and inexpensive internet host, then check out my other post on internet hosting and website building.
This is the service I use:

After a lot of research, I have found them to be the best in every area.Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16857814391890957837noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-25721437.post-16670757977068236422008-04-03T08:54:00.000-07:002008-04-03T09:34:20.735-07:00Natural Cure for Springtime AllergiesSpring is here ( or coming soon to you) and nature is pumping out the pollen. Alder trees are the biggest culprit where we live. They are very sneaky because they start shedding pollen before they even look awake. I've battled a combination of allergies that take me right through the summer. Trees, then grass and flowers and on to mould and the smoke of forest fires.

This year I'm trying a new approach and it seems to be working. You have read in previous posts about the EFT technique I have used for other things in my life. For some reason I never tried it on allergies. Then, the other day while I was gasping and holding myself together and praying for the antihistamine to kick in, I realized just how traumatized I was feeling. So I decided to try my "monkey dance" ( EFT). WOW! The itching in my eyes went from a 10 ( wanting to dig my eyeballs out and wash them) to a 3 ( slightly scratchy and thick with mucus).

OK, so was it the antihistamine kicking in or the EFT? The only thing to do was to let a few days go by and try it again. During my next attack I only used the EFT and did two rounds of it. ( check out the free EFT manual to understand what I mean by a round). ALL MY SYMPTOMS DISAPPEARED!

Now here is the weired part. My logical mind could not accept this. I noticed that part of me kinda missed the allergies. They have been a part of my whole life. I have not been conditioned to accept the concept of instant relief outside of taking a pill or eye-drops. All my allergic reactions were gone, but I was wandering around trying to deny it. I reread the manual and found an answer.

HERE IS A VERY IMPORTANT ASPECT OF EFT YOU NEED TO KNOW:

Near the end of the manual, Gary writes about dealing with reverse polarity for chronic, and addictive conditions. Please make sure you read the whole manual and make note of this. I have had these allergies my entire life. They are an annual rite of spring. To counter this, I had to do a very simple technique.

Am I cured? Well, I'm still sceptical and carry my pills and drops around with me. But so far, there has been no need to take them. And I spend my day right beside a nature conservation area with alders, birch, poplar, and wild grasses ( everything that I'm allergic to). The pollen index is still high for my area. But as long as I follow Gary's advice, I haven't needed any medication.

The best part of this is that I'm saving a fortune! OK, I'm cheap, but still it should bug anyone that the new effective antihistamines are close to a dollar a pill. I think the companies count on the desperation of the allergy sufferers. So every time I do EFT I think about how much money I'm saving. Pretty good incentive, eh?

NOTE: If you haven't downloaded the free manual yet, or have lost yours, here is the link to get it.Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16857814391890957837noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-25721437.post-92183148550973013642008-02-06T09:05:00.001-08:002008-04-03T09:43:11.481-07:00Easy ( But Secret) Ways to Change Your Life

Here is a list of the best resources I have discovered.
They will improve your health and life.
All of these are amazingly easy.

This post is the result of a recent dinner conversation with some friends. I was telling them about all the great techniques I had discovered which had been proven to help people improve their lives, and get seemingly miraculous health benefits. Later on some people asked me to send them a list of what shared. I was about to send off a bunch of emails and then decided that it would be better to put everything in a blog post. So here it is!

An important note: Not everything works on everyone. What I'm about to share with you has worked on various people for various conditions. Use your own judgment and common sense.
Explore these things with an open mind and choose the technique and ( very important) the practitioner that "resonates" best with you. My experience has shown me that the connection with the practitioner/ author/ inventor, can be as important as the technique. I'll say more about this later.

Also, there are two vital steps to change. You must be clear that you want to change ( being clear that you desire to want to change is also OK). And you must actually DO the techniques. Learning about them is not enough.

OK here we go!

MEDITATION
By now, almost everyone knows of the benefits of meditation. Mentally it strengthens the ability to focus and accomplish more. It helps people deal with stress by exercising and training the brain. Physically, it stimulates the production of more neuropathways and produces beneficial hormones and neurotransmitters. Medititaion reduces the production of harmful and aging chemicals such as cortisol. And as a result you feel calmer, younger, refreshed, and able to handle all that modern life throws at you.

The problem with meditation is that it is difficult for most people to learn and practice. Also, the greatest benefits of meditation come only after years of practice. Most people I know have given up on meditation because they can settle down and focus their mind long enough to get any results.

The good news is that there are two techniques out there that can bring you instant results. With one technique you simply listen to a CD and the brain is automatically stimulated to produce brain wave patterns equal to those of a seasoned practitioner. Bill Harris offers this service and will send you a free demo CD to try it out. Bill is quite the guy! He is results oriented. He says that he has made enough money to live comfortably and is not out to make a fortune with his product. It works. It changes lives. And he prides himself with over delivering.
If you order his Meditation CD's you will get an avalanche of free products and support. There is no catch. That's just Bill.
You can check out this instant way to achieve meditation by clicking on this link:
CENTERPOINTE MEDITATION CD

The second meditation technique is for people who just can't sit still. Even sitting down and listening to a CD for a few minutes is too hard. There is a way to meditate and move at the same time. For you multi-taskers, you can even get quite the workout with some of the techniques. BUT I HAVE TO WARN YOU....you have to keep an open mind about what I'm going to share.

There is an organization which is dedicated to making the benefits of meditation available to everyone. It is headed by a remarkable young man known as Nithanyanda. You can learn more about this organization on their website www.lifebliss.org .

NOW HERE IS THE WARNING: Don't get turned off by the "exotic" nature of the site. Nithanyanda is one of the most practical, down to earth, people you will ever know. His mission is to help people learn practical beneficial meditation techniques.

There are a series of different techniques designed to help you at different levels. You will feel the effect immediately with each one. And because this is a charitable organization, the materials are very inexpensive. But again, you have to do them. Each technique takes about 20 minutes and you can pick the one you feel meets your current needs. There are also training centers run by volunteers throughout the world. Just be ready to go in with an open mind. There are a lot of multi cultural trappings that seem a bit foreign to westerners. But after spending a few minutes talking with any of the volunteers you will soon find yourself amazed at how happy and down to earth they are.

OK, so that was meditation made easy! Now on to other easy life changing things.......

MENOPAUSE HELP

Menopause symptoms can start as soon as around 35 years of age. For many women it is a long and frustrating war. You could be going through perimenopause and not even realize that it is your hormones which are causing your current health problems. I say "hormones" because there is more to the story than just estrogen. The body has an amazing soup of inter related and interdependant hormones.

There are all sorts of products out there which are said to help, but which ones are right for you?

The best way of finding out what you need is to get a test done. This will tell you EXACTLY what your present situation is and what you need to remedy it. Yes the test costs a couple hundred dollars, but I guarantee you will spend that and more trying out various natural remedies and prescriptions as you guess your way through a hellish existence.

A doctor friend once expressed his frustration that patients will refuse to pay for a test, but will be willing to spend hundreds of dollars in visits and products as they guess their way to the true nature of their problem.

If you are finding that your world is a bit wonky and wonder if it could be something as easy to fix as rebalancing your hormones, then an easy saliva test may be your answer. All you do is collect a small sample of saliva, first thing in the morning and ship it off to a lab. One lab my friends have used is Rockey Mountain Analytical. They even have a short well written book which explains the latest methods of dealing with Menopause. Here is a link to their book page and website.

There is also a website devoted to all aspects of hormonal health called Healthy Immunity which is run by a woman who does thorough research. You might want to check it out.

Some women sail through menopause with no problems. For others it is like being sent to prison and tortured for years. Other women are looking for ways to continue their healthy vibrant lives without fear of degenerative problems associated with the hormonal changes of age.

As for me....I'm just glad to have a happy well rested spouse back in my life.

Oh yes, I almost forgot.... If you are looking for the various supplements which can help women sustain a healthy life I recommend Puritan's Pride products. Check out my post on Vitamins to see why. But one of their products deserves special mention here. It has been a great help during this time. Puritan's Pride version of 5-HTP is now the go to product for the occaisional bout of sleeplessness. It has a combination of supporting ingredients which make it noticibly more effective. Here is a link for it: 5-HTP Capsules

If you want to compare Puritan's Pride products with any product you currently take, just type the name into this search box:

OK Now let's move on to PAIN!

ACUTE MUSCLE PAIN RELIEF:

You are in pain. Your muscles have locked up. You can't move. Your twinges have gone from spasm to breath taking torture. You can't lay down, sit up or sleep. You have gobbled half a bottle of pain killers and are nearly roasted to death by your heating pad. Can there be any quick relief available? YUP.

Neural Therapy. It is an amazingly simple procedure, where a doctor injects the same freezing compound your dentist uses into points which have caused your muscles to bind up. These little knots then relax and so do your muscles. Presto....

OK that was the simple version, but it gives you an idea of what is out there. You don't have to suffer and go to session after session of massage and chiropractic treatments for certain types of pain. If you find that your range of motion is getting limited, or if you are starting to stiffen up, or even if you are locked up in pain, you can get relief in no time.

You can find Neural therapy through a naturopathic physician or other alternative and sports physicians. Just call around and ask.

Now what about....

CHRONIC BACK PAIN,
SPORTS INJURIES,
LIGAMENT DAMAGE,
BAD KNEES,

These are successfuly treated with Prolotherapy. This is a treatment which goes back for many years but is virtually unknown in North America. The simple description of prolotherapy is that it is a dilute sugar solution which is injected in a damaged area. A beneficial inflammatory response occures and the tissues rebuild in a rapid manner without scarring.

I've seen many remarkable cases of injuries healed through this technique. I live in an area where no sport is too extreme and no one is willing to wait months for injuries to heal. Athletes want to get back into action fast. And even ordinary people want to be up and moving as soon as possible. Prolotherapy cuts healing time down dramaticaly. I've also seen it work on a person who was listed as disabled because of a knee injury. I've seen a body builder doing heavy bench presses a week after dislocating his shoulder.

Chronic back pain can also be helped by using prolotherapy to rebalance the ligaments in the back. Many people with chronic back pain have one side stretched, and as a result there is no support for the spine. This leads to pressure on the nerves. Prolotherapy tightens up the stretched ligament and rebalances the spine.

WARNING: Prolotherapy is a safe and fast therapy. It is simple and has no side effects. But, it should be done by an experienced practitioner. So when you call around to find someone to help you, make sure to ask how often they perform prolotherapy and also what body areas they specialize in. It is the skill of the practitioner which makes the difference.

What! No more pain? So what is next? How about ........

EASY FITNESS

What if you could do a whole body workout in 10 minutes a day and not have to worry about going to the gym or even getting into a fitness outfit? Ya Ya I know...your sceptic antenna just went up. So did mine until I met the guy behind the cellerciser. I've already posted an article about this here. You can look it up by hitting the "exercise machine" label.

The fact is that you actually can get fit in around 10 minutes a day using the cellerciser. IN fact Here is a warning.....do not do more than 10 minutes for the first while. You will hurt yourself. The exercises are so easy and simple that some of you overachievers will be tempted to over do it.

This is a whole body workout....right down to the cellular level, which means that even the most athletic person will have areas of their body which are being challenged for the first time in their life. Also, the exercises are so easy that if you aren't paying attention you can quickly do more than you are supposed to at one time.

Click on that picture of David and the cellerciser to find out more.

The cellerciser is a great way for people with disabilities or other limitations. There is a balance bar available which attaches to the unit so that even blind people can get a safe whole body workout.

Why sweat and pay huge gym fees? It has various names depending on the teacher, but I like to call it The Monkey Dance because of a video Dr Mercola once made. When doing this exercise you tend to look like you are pretending to be the three wise monkeys.

The Monkey Dance is a very simple and effective exercise that only takes a few minutes. But if done right, those few minutes will instantly dissolve some of the most frustrating physical and mental health conditions.

Gary Craig has made it his mission in life to share this wonderful technique. He has set up a website which gives great information and support. He also has a free training manual you can download. And he also sells training videos for those who prefer that format.

Gary calls this technique EFT ( Emotional Freedom Technique). I don't like the term because it seems to limit EFT to "emotional issues".

This technique works through a network of neural pathways and helps the body to reset itself. The result is a smooth running body which is naturally focused on health rather than disease. This is the reason why so many physical ailments can be remedied. And here is an important point: The success of this technique shows that many psychological problems are simply the result of a misfiring of a neural network. Once this network is reset, the problems vanish.

I know you are probably thinking that this is way too good and simple to be true.

Gary has backed up the theory with amazing practical results.

He has gone into prisons and veteran hospitals and almost instantly transformed lives.

Many people live crippled and shattered lives because of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. The therapies for this are long and not really effective ( I'm sure I will hear from all sorts of therapists about this, but really, have you known anyone who has been cured of PTSD after only a couple short visits?) I guess this is why Gary has focused on this area and has called the technique EFT. But he has not ignored all the other problems out there.

You will find comprehensive support for all sorts of life challenging conditions at Gary's Website.
You will also find links to therapists who use this technique, if you feel you need the help of someone more experienced in the finer details.

There is a great uTube video on the EFT site. It will amaze and challenge you. Make sure to stop by and watch it.

Here is the link to Gary's EFT site. Try the technique on everything you can think of. Why not? It is free and easy!

Remember, this article is about secret solutions to common problems. Don't let your ignorance get in the way of making a life changing discovery. I say this in the purest meaning. Even I shook my head over this one. But there is something to it.

Well there you are. Quite the list eh?

I'm going to ask you for one favor. I have been worried about the safety of Ecards and have given up using them until now. I found a company that guarantees that their cards are spy ware free. Whenever something is free I get nervous. Either the product is lousy or is filled with malware ( trojans, viruses, spyware, rootkits, etc). So how can these Ecards be free? I began investigating how the company makes money.

They do it in a number of ways, which is smart. All their eggs are not in one basket. They have banner ads on their site which brings in revenue if you click on them. And they have some different services which they hope you will subscribe to and use. This makes sense. Spread the revenue streams and make things attractive to the different user groups.

So that's it! No evil coding to worry about.

Check out the Wide Selection of Free Ecards from American Greetings .
The reason I like the ecards from American Greetings/ Blue Mountain is the professional quality. If you look at other sites you will see that things are very amateur and cheap looking. And really, is that what you want to send to someone? You might as well just jot off a quick email.
This is the easiest website building software I have ever seen. It also has features which automatically make the website attractive to search engines. It automates all the frustrating compiling, so that you just have to hit a button and the website is perfectly designed.

You know what.....it is almost impossible to tell you all the details loaded into this website building software. In fact, they have designed a video series to give you an overview. Just go to their website and watch it. Here is a link to the Video

IMPORTANT NEWS: I just got another email from the owner of the software telling me that the next version is about to be released to the public. There is a great deal offered for the first little while. The website is already getting flooded with orders from version 1 users who have been given a preview of the new features in Version 2. And now new buyers will be able to get XsitePro2 for the same price as version 1. This is a savings of $100.

( And by the way, this is not one of those phony $97 reduced to $47 gimmicks.... I'm going to have to shell out $100 to upgrade. And I'll gladly do it because this new version is absolutely amazing, and is well worth the price of my sanity.)

And since I'm on my soapbox now, let me add another comment about this website building software. It is "white hat " technology. This means that if you use this software program to build your websites you will not have to worry about Google, or other search engines shutting you down because of some dishonest techniques built in to the program. BE WARNED, a lot of easy website building programs out there use unethical techniques. Oh sure, they will deny it till the cows come home, but then when you get blacklisted all you will hear from then is a little " oops".

Black hat and grey hat website building techniques are dangerous. There are a lot of website building programs out there that promise you instant websites built with ease. This may be true in the short run, but don't plan on making anything you can be proud of with them.

The website building program I'm recommending to you
is different. It is a professional quality software program, backed by an ethical company.

Do yourself a huge favor. If you are planning to put up any sort of website, get your copy of XsitePro now and save yourself a lot of grief and frustration. I checked the site last week and even noticed that it has a full satisfaction guarantee! That means you can try it out and see just how great it works without worrying about whether you wasted your money. ( And you can use that time to use its features to make it pay for itself!)
Here is the link to the purchase page.

Now if you are looking for content to fill any website you are planning to build then I would recommend another ethical company run by Mike Liebner called Article Underground

This is a service where writers create articles on specific popular subjects which are written in a way to catch the eye of search engines.

They make sure to avoid using phrases which will get you banned or demoted, and they give you unique content so that you will not get penalized for having " duplicate content" on your site. Mike's service is a great way to get full content fast for your websites.

WARNING.....there are other ways and services out there for populating your website, but they scalp info from other online sources.

If you want an easy way to make professional quality websites, then check out these resources. And yes, you will have to pay a small sum for the Xsite software, but believe me, it will save you endless hours of frustration trying to knit together a website. And both Xsite and Mike's Article service will protect your reputation online.

P.S. I spent a solid week researching website hosting companies. And I spent another month attending seminars and online forums looking for complaints. Hostgator ended up being my choice. I have been more than happy with them. If you need a hosting service, then be sure to check them out:

Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16857814391890957837noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-25721437.post-10932665177951937252007-10-26T12:07:00.000-07:002007-11-02T13:34:36.296-07:00Vitamin Questions AnsweredI've had quite a few questions from my readers after my last post about the best vitamins at the best price. So here are some answers:

Several of you asked how it is possible for Puritan's Pride to have high quality at a low price. The reason is actually quite simple. They sell direct over the Internet. They keep their profit margins reasonable. And they have a high volume loyal customer base.

Now for the details.
Most retailers sell vitamins and related items at a minimum of a 50% profit. This means that if they buy a product for $1 they will sell it for $2. ( I know, I said "50%". Retailers calculate their profit margin based on the retail price, not the cost price.)

Most (if not all) MLM health suppliers sell their product at huge undisclosed margins. How can I say "huge"? Just go to their websites. Look at the promises of wealth to all the associates. Where do you think the money is coming from? The owner wants to be a multimillionaire. The staff want to be rich. And the associates want to live the life of their dreams. Just how is this going to happen without a huge profit margin?

Check out Puritan's Pride:

(Click on the logo)

Their founder wants to give quality product at a good price.
They pay a modest 10% commission to all Internet advertisers.
They pass on savings to the customers.

Now I'm sure that the head of the company is doing just fine. He just knows how much is enough.

So what about Quality?

Here is what the company says:

"Puritan's Pride is headquartered on Long Island in New York and for over 40 years has manufactured over 1,400 high quality vitamins, minerals, herbs and other nutritional supplements in our own state-of-the-art facilities. The manufacturing facilities total over one million square feet and we produce supplements in every available form, including tablets, two-piece capsules, softgels, powders and liquids."

They also get audited by third party independent labs to make sure their quality is as high as they think it is.

Why is this important? Well, because the refined ingredients come from all over the world. With the latest quality scares from China, you have to wonder just what is in anything! The only way you would know if your nutritional supplements were full of toxic ingredients is if they were tested by independent labs. Imagine a company buying tons of product. Would they really want to know if it was contaminated? Or would they hope that everything was fine and turn a blind eye? I've heard of local manufacturers starting out by mixing product in their bathtubs!

Puritan's Pride has in-house testing and third party auditing. And they curb their desire for profit so as to build loyal buyers.

So here is your homework. Go to your local Vitamin Store. Select your favorite supplements. Find the manufacturer that has the highest quality controls. Write down the prices. Then compare them with the same items from Puritan's Pride using this search box:

Or..... if you are like me. Just go to their site and order up your favorites.

Note to Canadians: I was impressed and surprised to find that there is a distribution point in Canada which saves in all the lengthy customs hassles.
( ever tried to get any "white powder" shipped across the border?)

I hope this answers some of your concerns. Please keep the questions coming in.
Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16857814391890957837noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-25721437.post-52994673635951392912007-09-01T11:37:00.000-07:002007-11-02T13:50:14.984-07:00Best Vitamins at the Best Prices with the Best ServiceOK a bit of a confession here. I have been unfaithful.....to my vitamin supplier. But the good news is that just found out I've been buying from their sister company! Real soap opera stuff eh?

As you know, I have been recommending Puritan's Pride because of their great quality vitamins, as well as the unique specialty formulations that set them apart from all the other vitamin suppliers. They make a point of delivering the highest quality at the lowest price. And they also test all the vitamin and herbal ingredients to make sure that you get what is on the label. I love just browsing through their website and reading the ingredient labels ( but then I'm a bit of a research nut).

My favorite vitamin products are the unique Men's and Women's Multivitamins. These vitamin formulations leave all other brands in the dust. They contain vitamins, and essential herbs which have strong histories of helping each sex. The vitamin content is also balanced to maximum effectiveness. These vitamin formulations were thought through.

Here are a couple links to each product:

(Just Click on the Picture)
This women's formulation has everything a mature woman needs to help her lead a healthy Balanced life.

(Click on the picture to get more information)
This men's formulation helps guys with all the problems the years throw at us. And yup, I'm talking "plumbing troubles" as well.

I'm Putting a Search Box here for Puritan's Pride because I want you to have fun exploring as well. Look for vitamins or minerals or herbs that you currently use and compare the prices! Also when you are on the site, look for some of their specialty formulations. One of my favorites is the "Focus Complex" which contains just about everything to help with brain function.

(Just type in the vitamin, herb, or minerals you currently use and hit the search button.)

OK now for the rest of the confession:
If Puritan's Pride is so great, why do I occasionally buy from someone else?
Well, I have a few specific medical concerns which means that I need specific products. Also Mary and my friends are quite athletic, and they need great athletic supplements at good prices. So I have found myself buying a fair bit of these things from Vitamin World.

Vitamin World has great quality vitamins, minerals and sports formulations at the best prices I have found.

I watch for the deals and stock up on the things I need. For example, they have a magnesium at high strength that is actually easy to swallow. Not an easy thing to find. They sell a Vitamin A cream for 1 tenth the price of any pharmacy or cosmetic company.

So, here I was, telling everyone how great Puritan's Pride was and then going off to Vitamin World for other things. Now I find out that they are sister companies and that they just have a different customer focus.

Puritan's Pride is more focused on giving the best nutrition to people in middle age and up. Vitamin World is focused more on the younger athletic market. They both have outstanding quality and prices. Mystery solved. No wonder I was attracted to both of them!

So if you have specific performance product needs I have no hesitation on recommending Vitamin World. Here is a link to their site:

(Just Click on the Picture to see all they offer)

Here's to your Health!
ColinAnonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16857814391890957837noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-25721437.post-19055576954825658572007-06-21T07:29:00.000-07:002007-06-21T07:58:09.025-07:00The Best Health Newsletter on the InternetIf you are looking for Real Accurate Health Information -- not that watered down lawyer approved pap you usually get, or some weird stuff some paranoid health nut makes up-- then there is only one newsletter out there. I don't know why I haven't recommended this before. Perhaps I thought everyone knew about it. Hit this link and subscribe NOW to Dr. Mercola's newletter.

I have been reading Dr Mercola and referring info from Dr Mercola and using the free programs and health advice from Dr Mercola for years. Why? Because he is not bound by any ideology.

Dr Mercola takes things and tests them in his clinic. He keeps what works and dumps the rest. And he employs people to tear products apart to see if they really have the quality they claim. Does your doc do that?

I've learned about an amazing technique to get rid of nagging problems in a flash. And I've watched a video on his site to help me learn it.

What diet is the best one and the safest one? Dr Mercola is not like Nathan Pritikin or Robert Atkins. He tested everything and looked at the successes in his clinic. ONLY THEN did he announce his unique findings in his newsletter.

Want to get a professional perspective on the latest health news releases? In Dr Mercola's newsletter, he quotes and comments on these releases, so that you can get another opinion. Sometimes he agrees with the findings and sometimes he points out those grey areas that the researchers are trying to hide. ( having been in the business, I can tell you that this is common).

OK....You've gone to the latest health fair and seen all the weird and wonderful things. Where do I get a second opinion on alternative health products and practices? In this newsletter.
Dr Mercola keeps an open mind and does the testing. He also has keen analytical skills and probes beneath the hype.

So you see why I insist that everyone subscribe to his newsletter? So please, do yourself and your future health a favor and hit this link and subscribe.....it is free. I'm writing this because I just found out that some of my friends actually don't get this free service. I thought everyone did. I just doesn't pay to assume.Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16857814391890957837noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-25721437.post-18960189095761338742007-06-18T15:02:00.000-07:002007-06-18T15:29:13.094-07:00My New WebsiteI finally got my website up. I've been putting this off for some time. Other things seemed more important and my blogs have been a great place to put my thoughts in print.

Actually the domain name www.colinnoden.com has been around for a while. I use the hosting account to house a few sub domains. But I never got around to putting a page up on the ColinNoden site. But then I realized that there was no good place to put my links and invitations to newsletters. So voila it is now up and running.

not pretty....but running

There are some interesting links there. But the main thing I want to point out are the newsletter sign ups. I love these blogs, but when there are time sensitive deals to tell you about, the blogs are a bit of a pain.

I have to post the deals and then go back and delete them, or run the risk of offering dead links.

Now that I have an account with Aweber I can create as many specific newsletters as I want.

I now have two running. One is focused mainly on Internet Resources and Software.

The other one is for time sensitive deals. I have contacts who send me some fantastic weekly deals that are only available through referrals and only for very limited periods or quantities.
The newsletter is the only way I could figure out on how to share these deals.

So if you are interested. Go to my website www.colinnoden.com and scroll down to the bottom of the page and sign up. This is just for your convenience and mine. All contact info will be confidential.

See you there!

Colin

Oh yes..... I meant to say how great I'm finding Aweber. The service is fantastic and the staff are there to help. They are focused on ethical techniques that will keep you on the good side of the email servers ( for instance; you cannot just import a huge list to send out. They will scrutinize the list to make sure you are not buying a block of names to send spam)

For most of us, this may not seem relevant. But for me, I want to have every contact I have to be of the highest ethical standard.

You can check them out at their website. Just click here to go to Aweber's Home PageAnonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16857814391890957837noreply@blogger.com0
