Free Software that is Taking Over the World

I've been using Open Office for a few years now and it is getting to be more versatile than anything else I've tried. Yes it is true that there are new phrases for certain things and there is the usual learning curve. But overall it has been a great experience. Part of the reason is the community of users out there who are willing to answer questions and give support which is amazingly quick.
