This has been my favorite product for years! But two big things have happened to make it even more of a favorite. The recent news about BPA contamination in all the water bottles and now SODA CANS, and the gas prices.




OK I can see you scratching your head. But really, isn't most of the soda or "pop" that you are drinking water? Why pay for trucks to drag water all over the place and then poison you by putting it in BPA contaminated containers? OH....and charge you ten times the price for doing it?

Why not get the ability to create a refreshing drink , made EXACTLY the way YOU like it, and pay a fraction of the cost? OH...and put it in a container that won't kill you?

hmmm... did I hear " slam dunk"?

I like things a little less sweet, but my asian friends LOVE THE SUGAR. Fine. We can have the same flavor made the way we like it.

I also love the little penguin shaped seltzer bottles. To be honest, this is my favorite way to have a drink. A nice bubbly seltzer with a twist of lemon.

But I can also do the drink with just a hint of low carb flavoring.

Get the Lowest Price by using this Free Software called My Shopping Genie

I just got this great shopping deal hunter software called My Shopping Genie. I like a few things about it and also thought I'd clear up the confusion about some of the concerns I had.

First of all the shopping genie is free. I LIKE free! And I LOVED the fact that it instantly dug out the best deals. Not only the best prices on stuff I'm always buying, but from respected names. And I don't need any coupon printouts or special codes. ( Yes I'm the guy you hate at the cash register fumbling with a handful of coupons)

Coupons and discount codes were great way to shop until this baby came along. Now I don't need to be clipping my way through the weekend paper or getting burned by using some stale code I got on the internet.

Now I just type in what I want and this new Shopping Genie gets me the cheapest price. And like I said, the best part is that it is free.

But I take a close look at any free software to make sure that it doesn't have anything that will harm my computer. This passed the test. The shopping genie is very clean. It is also recommended by Stephen Pierce, who is not only respected throughout the internet, but also works with major corporations. So I feel better when he has put his reputation on the line.

It works by having the shopping companies compete for the lowest price. Sometimes Walmart wins and sometimes Amazon does ( or some other company). Actually this was an eye opener for me. Walmart has branded themselves as the company with the best prices, but now I'm realizing that there are other companies out there who are ready to compete for my business. This new "my shopping genie" makes that happen.

Try it out for yourself. Like I said, I investigated it and it came out clean as far as safety and is a great way to save those hundreds of dollars that are slipping away from you as you do your regular shopping. ( I saved over $170 last month using coupons...I could have done better with this genie thingee).

If you just want a single page up, or want to post pictures, or whatever, the option is there. If you have used any word processor ( eg. MS Word) you can make a beautiful website in minutes.

And here is the best part, this website building/design software automatically does all the hard technical stuff for you. Xsitepro2 organizes everything you put in so that everything is technically correct ( such as site maps, privacy policies, search engine robot forms). Hit one button and it runs a report and tells you of how you can improve what you have written. Hit another and bingo, it is on the Internet!

Now do you see why I'm excited about the great website building software? I've used all sorts of other ones ( remember I'm a bit slow but still curious). I gave up trying to use all of them, even Google's page maker ( and I'm a big Google fan).

WARNING.....there are other ways and services out there for populating your website, but they scalp info from other online sources.

And yes, you will have to pay a small sum for the Xsite software, but believe me, it will save you endless hours of frustration trying to knit together a website. Vitamin Questions Answered

I've had quite a few questions from my readers after my last post about the best vitamins at the best price. So here are some answers:

Several of you asked how it is possible for Puritan's Pride to have high quality at a low price. The reason is actually quite simple. They sell direct over the Internet. They keep their profit margins reasonable. And they have a high volume loyal customer base.

Now for the details.
Most retailers sell vitamins and related items at a minimum of a 50% profit. This means that if they buy a product for $1 they will sell it for $2. ( I know, I said "50%". Retailers calculate their profit margin based on the retail price, not the cost price.)

My New Website

I finally got my website up. I've been putting this off for some time. Other things seemed more important and my blogs have been a great place to put my thoughts in print.

Actually the domain name www.colinnoden.com has been around for a while. I use the hosting account to house a few sub domains. But I never got around to putting a page up on the ColinNoden site. But then I realized that there was no good place to put my links and invitations to newsletters. So voila it is now up and running.

not pretty....but running

There are some interesting links there. But the main thing I want to point out are the newsletter sign ups. I love these blogs, but when there are time sensitive deals to tell you about, the blogs are a bit of a pain.

I have to post the deals and then go back and delete them, or run the risk of offering dead links.

Now that I have an account with Aweber I can create as many specific newsletters as I want.

I now have two running. One is focused mainly on Internet Resources and Software.

The other one is for time sensitive deals. I have contacts who send me some fantastic weekly deals that are only available through referrals and only for very limited periods or quantities.
The newsletter is the only way I could figure out on how to share these deals.

The Best Exercise Machine

Could this be the best exercise machine?
Something that:

YES I KNOW.......SOUNDS TOOOO GOOD TO BE TRUE EH?

BUT I WAS WRONG (I think)

I was at a health convention a few weeks ago and saw a presentation by David Hall. He was demonstrating this machine. Part of the appeal is the fact that he looks FANTASTIC!
He has a body that most guys would die for....and most women would ( and did) swoon over.

He claims that he has achieved this by only using his " cellerciser" for less than 20 minutes a day. He has amazing agility to go with a well sculpted body. SO.....lucky genes? Perhaps. but he also has a story of recovery from ill health that would put most people either in the grave or out of commission for the rest of their lives. You can check all this out on his website I think.

Anyway, back to the machine. It looks like a mini trampoline, but with subtle modifications that make it anything but typical or simple. I had a mini trampoline years ago and immediately noticed that this is different.

I like it because it is possible for me to get some level of exercise regardless of what condition I am in.

For example; The other day I was having a relapse. I could not sit up. I could barely speak. I could barely tolerate the weight of my clothes. It felt like pain soaked sheets were draped over me. And yet I was able to do a few sessions on the cellerciser. This allowed the blood to flow and keep cramping away. I also felt warmer and able to breathe as my sinuses drained.

I did all this by standing on the unit and holding onto the balance bar. I felt a bit like a baby in a crib, but it did help. I also felt good that I was able to accomplish something. During the bad times, it is easy to get discouraged.

OK, so it works with a gimp like me. But how about an athlete? Well, my spouse ( Perpetual Motion Mary) finds that the cellerciser gives you quite the workout. My Miracle Gizmo of the Year!

OK I'll admit it. I'm a trade show junkie. And every year I'm on the hunt for some "miracle product". This year it came to me without every getting near the fair. I've fallen in love with this product.....and now the hard part begins......convincing Mary that there is actually space on the counter for it.





What a great idea! I drink a lot of water, and have been getting tired of flat boring drinks. I don't like regular pop because of all the sugar, and to be honest I find that, in some drinks, I like a lot less flavor. Especially if I am drinking a lot.

And yes, I know that I can just add a squeeze of lemon, etc.; but there is nothing like a bit of fizz.

Mary does a little mixing. She takes a can of club soda and mixes it with a regular flavored drink. The problem is that two cans are now open and going flat by the minute. Even if she uses bottles, the fizz is gone in a hurry. And to be honest I've noticed that she is slowing down on this technique and that the bottom of the fridge is still loaded with unused club soda.

The great thing with this gizmo is that you can adjust everything! Flavor, carbonation, sugar or Splenda......

Well, you heard it hear first....the campaign is on.
